About Me

The seeds of creating Dave of All Trades Handyman Services trace back to Central Wisconsin in the mid-1980s.

My Dad, Eddie Gliniecki, was a self-taught “jack-of-all trades” but became disabled due to Multiple Sclerosis. When MS limited his physical abilities, he began teaching my 12-year old self how to assist him with the upkeep and repairs of the home, lawn, and garden at my parents’ property, which I continued for the next 30+ years. I also began using Dad’s wealth of information to perform household repairs, maintenance, updates, and minor landscaping projects on the 93-year-old bungalow that my wife and I own on Madison’s East Side, as well as to complete other small projects for family and friends.

After a rewarding 24-year career in Civil Engineering working as a project manager on bridge, tunnel, and industrial projects, I felt drawn to the concept of starting my own handyman business. I have always enjoyed performing projects around the house, and the satisfaction upon their completion. Further, I know and have heard of many people who might not have the time or abilities to take on projects around their own homes, condos, rental properties or small businesses. My goal is to utilize my abilities to repair, maintain, and improve the personal spaces of others, thereby alleviating any stresses or hazards of projects awaiting completion, while also allowing more time for customers to enjoy and utilize their spaces.
